Mr. BAŞ completed his undergraduate degree at Gazi University in the field of Public Administration. He completed his master’s degree in Urbanization and Environmental Problems at the same University. He is continuing his doctoral studies at the University of Haliç on “The Effects of Employment Incentives on Women and Youth Employment.”

He has held managerial positions both in private and public sectors. He served as the Airport Manager at the General Directorate of State Airport Operations, Head of the Urban Transformation Department at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and the General Manager of Environmental Management. During his time of service as General Directorate, he also chaired commission of member states for protecting Black Sea against pollution within the scope of Bucharest Convention.

BAŞ served as the Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs Department and Deputy General Director of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Currently, he is continuing his service as the General Director in the same institution.

BAŞ was born in Akçaabat, married, and has three children. He is fluent in English and has intermediate level of Arabic language.
