Visit to Çayırhan Underground Mine on the Occasion of 4 December World Miners' Day

Our Minister of Labor and Social Security, Prof. Dr. Vedat IŞIKHAN and our General Manager Mehmet BAŞ visited Çayırhan Underground Mine in Ankara's Nallıhan district on the occasion of December 4, World Miners' Day.

Minister Işıkhan came together with the miners at the mine, chatted with them and had dinner. Minister Işıkhan; “We will continue to take the necessary steps, as we have done so far, to ensure that our mine workers enter and leave the mines safely and that their working conditions, especially in the field of occupational health and safety, reach the highest level. Our goal is to have a working life in which our mine workers are least affected by the risks of their profession and do not face any danger to life or health. On the occasion of December 4, World Miners' Day, I would like to thank our mine workers, who earn their bread hundreds of meters underground with the sweat of their brows, for their efforts and supreme sacrifices, and I commemorate our heroic miners who lost their lives.” said.

Later, he visited Nallıhan Municipality and held consultations with Mayor İsmail Öntaş.
