BM Convention on the Rights of the Child
The review of the "Consolidated 4th and 5th Periodic Report of the Convention on the Rights of the Child", which was submitted to the United Nations by our country in 2019, was held in Geneva on May 17-18, within the scope of the 93rd Session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
The Turkish Delegation, consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Strategy and Budget Presidency, conveyed the work carried out within the scope of compliance with the contract.
The members of the Child Rights Committee were informed about the activities carried out by our Ministry within the scope of child labour. The works to be carried out in the future within the scope of preventing child labor and protecting children's rights were explained.
In this context, UN-ILO Child Labor Unit was visited and the status of the projects being carried out together with the ILO Turkey office and the road map created within the framework of our country's intention to become a guide country within the framework of sustainable development goals were consulted.
