2020 workforce statistics published

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) published the annual labor force statistics calculated with the data obtained within the scope of the Household Labor Force Survey. According to the results of the research, the workforce was 30 million 873 thousand in 2020, and the labor force participation rate was 49.3%. While 26 million 812 thousand people were employed, the number of unemployed was announced as 4 million 61 thousand. According to these data, the employment rate is 42.8% and the unemployment rate is 13.2%.

The employment rate for the young population covering the 15-24 age group was 29.2%, while the unemployment rate was 25.3%.
