The minimum wage to be effective in 2021 has been determined

The studies to determine the minimum wage level for 2021, carried out by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission throughout December, have been completed. At the commission's meeting on December 28, which was held with the participation of our Honorable Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, the new minimum wage was determined as 3,577.50 TL gross and 2,825.90 TL net for a single and childless worker. The cost of the new minimum wage to the employer is 4,203.56 TL. According to these figures, the net minimum wage was increased by 21.6% in 2021 compared to the previous year.

In the process of determining the minimum wage, which represents the basic wage level necessary for the worker to survive, the Turkish Confederation of Trade Unions (TÜRK-İŞ) represented the workers, and the employers were represented by the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TİSK). Representatives of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Turkish Statistical Institute and our Ministry took part in the commission.
