Workshop on Recovery of Employment After the Earthquake was Held in Hatay
The expiration of the implementation period of the National Employment Strategy, which is currently in force, as of the end of 2023, and the developments at national and global levels, especially the Covid 19 Pandemic and the February 6 earthquakes, have brought about the need for Turkey to enter the century with a new employment strategy. With this approach, the new employment strategy studies carried out by our Ministry started with participatory meetings held in the provinces.

The Hatay workshop, held after the regional employment workshops held in Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Gaziantep and Istanbul, was held with the theme of "Recovery of Employment After the Earthquake in Hatay".
The workshop was hosted by Hatay Mustafa Kemal University with the participation of representatives of public institutions and organizations, social partners, non-governmental organizations, private sector and universities started with opening speeches of ILO Senior Project Coordinator Fatma Revenue Ünal, General Directorate of Labor Employment Policies Department Head Emin Türker and Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Yengil.
Working group studies, moderated by experts from our General Directorate, were carried out with the active participation of stakeholders within the scope of the sub-themes of developing rural employment in the region, developing productive employment in industry, developing employment in the service sector, developing inclusive employment and increasing employment through the creation of new jobs.
The workshop was concluded after the findings and suggestions prioritized by the working group members were shared with all participants and their evaluations were received.
