Ahmet Nazif GARİBAĞAOĞLU
Acting Deputy Director General
He was born in Hekimhan/Malatya in 1960. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Malatya. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in the Department of Economics from Georg August Gottingen University in 1987.
He started his career in 1990 as career officer at the Directorate General (DG) for Services for Workers Abroad of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. He served as Deputy Attaché of Labour and Social Security at the Consulate General of Republic of Türkiye in Stuttgart and Hannover between 1993-1997 and at the Consulate General in Karlsruhe between 2000-2004 and as Labour and Social Security Counsellor at Berlin Embassy of Republic of Türkiye between 2008-2012.
Within the framework of his duties within the Ministry’s central organization, he worked as an officer and Expert for Services for Workers Abroad. He served as Deputy Director General for Services for Workers Abroad between 2006-2008.
He has been working as Deputy Director General of Foreign Relations and European Union since 9 November 2015.
Ahmet Nazif Garibağaoğlu has very good command of German and possesses intermediate level English. He is married and has four children.
