Dr. Selim DAĞLIOĞLU
Biography
He was born in Istanbul in 1983. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul. He graduated from the Department of Statistics of the Faculty of Science of Ege University in 2006 and he received his master's degree from the Department of Actuarial Sciences of the Institute of Science of Hacettepe University in 2008. He received his PhD Degree from the Department of Statistics of Institute of Science and Technology of Gazi University in 2016 with his thesis titled "Structural Break in Panel Data". Most recently, Dr. Dağlıoğlu received his bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Law of Kırıkkale University in 2018.
He started his career as Assistant Expert at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2007. After his assignment as Culture and Tourism Expert in 2011, he continued his working life at Social Security Institution between 2011-2015 as Assistant Social Security Expert and Social Security Expert. He succeeded in the competition exam held by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in 2015 and continued his career as Specialist for Services for Workers Abroad at the DG of Foreign Relations and Services for Workers Abroad. Assigned as Deputy Head of Department for Agreements at the Directorate General of Foreign Relations and European Union in November 2019, Dr. Dağlıoğlu was assigned to this position as principal on 15 June 2020.
Dr. Dağlıoğlu has a large number of scientific studies published in peer-reviewed journals on actuarial sciences, econometrics and social security. Continuing his academic studies in the fields of social security systems and practices, international agreements law, statistics, econometrics and actuarial calculations, Dr. Daglioglu also serves as a referee for certain journals in these fields.
Selim Dağlıoğlu has good command of English. He is married and has 3 children.
