Visit of Azerbaijan Delegation to Our Ministry

Within the scope of this visit, our knowledge, experience and know-how on the ratification, reporting, transposition and implementation of ILO Basic Conventions No. 155 and 187 on occupational health and safety, which have already been ratified by our country, as well as on occupational health and safety practices and labour inspection system were shared with the Azerbaijani delegation. The Azerbaijani delegation also provided information on the legislation and practices regarding occupational health and safety in their country. This exchange of information was an important step in understanding the challenges faced by both countries in the field of occupational health and safety and identifying possible areas of co-operation.

Within the framework of the visit, information presentations were made and workplaces were visited by experts and labour inspectors from the Department of Guidance and Inspection, the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety and the Labour and Social Security Training and Research Centre, which carry out activities on occupational health and safety issues of both the General Directorate and the Ministry. Thus, the Azerbaijani delegation had the opportunity to closely observe Türkiye’s practices in the field of occupational health and safety.
