May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Cologne

Various events marking “May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day” organized by our Labour and Social Security Attaché’s Office in Cologne and DITIB Parents’ Regional Union under the aegis of Chief Consulate in Cologne of Türkiye were held with great enthusiasm.

Within the scope of celebrations, stands set up by Labour Agency, Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Tradesmen Union and General Directorate of Customs attracted a great deal of interest and nearly 150 youngsters benefited from vocational training counselling service. In addition, counselling service was exclusively rendered by relevant institutions to the young with disabilities, who are in pursuit of venue for vocational training.

The soccer tournament organized within the scope of events was participated by 20 football teams. Director of Fortuna Cologne Football Club Niklas Müller prepared the fixture of the tournament and our fifa-licensed referee Ali Palabıyık invited from Türkiye conducted the final match.

During the event, sportspersons who have excelled at their rich variety of fields informed the youngsters on their own branches as well as displaying a visual feast for them.
233 sportspersons from 7 nationalities actively took part in the sports fest organized within the scope of events.
