Labour Visit from our Ministry to Azerbaijan
A delegation from our Ministry visited Azerbaijan in order to study the possibilities of amending the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Social Security Agreement.
During their visit to Baku between 23-25 October 2023, the delegation headed by Oğuz Tuncay, our General Director for Foreign Relations, held meetings with the officials of the institutions responsible for the provision of social security assistance in Azerbaijan, including Mr. Anar Kerimov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the People of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting with Mr. Anar Kerimov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the People of Azerbaijan, Mr. Kerimov expressed his satisfaction with the existing cooperation between the institutions of the two countries and stressed that the cooperation between the Ministries should continue to deepen.
He also stated that they would be very happy to host our Minister Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan in their country at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Labour Ministers Meeting to be held in Baku on 21-23 November 2023.
During the labour visit, the delegations exchanged information and experience in the field of social security. At the end of the meetings, which were held in a productive and friendly atmosphere, the delegations agreed on the work to be carried out and the steps to be taken in the coming period to protect and improve the rights and interests of the citizens of the two countries in the field of social security.
