Minister of Labour and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan visited Confederations
Minister of Labour and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan visited the Confederations of Memur-Sen, Hak-İş and Türkiye Kamu-Sen.
Minister Işıkhan first visited the Confederation of Turkish Real Trade Unions (Hak-İş) and met with President Mahmut Arslan and the Hak-İş Executive Board.
Minister Işıkhan expressed his pleasure to visit the Hak-İş Confederation and said, "Hak-İş Confederation is one of the most important representatives of the labour movement in Türkiye with its 21 member unions and member workers."
"Together we will open new pages in labour life that will be worthy of Türkiye"
Stating that as the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, they will carry out successful works together with the confederations in the coming period, Minister Işıkhan said, "In this process, we will establish good communication with you, the stakeholders of working life, by increasing awareness through good communication channels. Together, we will open new pages in labour life that will be worthy of Türkiye. In this process, a process in which the rights of our employees are protected, their future is guaranteed and they reach a sustainable point is very important for us."
President Arslan, in turn, presented the report of Hak-İş, including its views and suggestions on labour life, to Minister Işıkhan.
Minister Işıkhan then visited the Confederation of Public Servants Trade Unions (Memur-Sen) and met with Ali Yalçın, the President of Memur-Sen, and members of the Executive Board.
Minister Işıkhan wished that the 7th Term Public Collective Agreement, which includes important gains for the rights of public servants, would be beneficial for the employees again.
During the visit, issues related to working life and union agenda were discussed.

Minister Işıkhan thanked the trade unions for their devoted work in the collective bargaining and stated that Memur-Sen was an important stakeholder and contributed to the democratisation of Türkiye.
Minister Işıkhan noted that consultations with social stakeholders are very valuable in solving problems and said: "We will continue our meetings with Memur-Sen, one of the largest confederations in Türkiye, to determine and solve the demands and expectations of public servants. I believe that this consultation environment will continue to develop in the coming period for the development of our country."
Steps to be taken for Public Employees were evaluated
Afterwards, Minister Işıkhan visited the Confederation of Public Employees' Trade Unions of Türkiye (Türkiye Kamu-Sen) and met with the Confederation's President Önder Kahveci and the management.
During the visit, the steps to be taken for public employees were evaluated.
Minister Işıkhan stated that they will make joint efforts with non-governmental organisations to solve the problems of public servants and said, "At this point, we attach great importance to the knowledge and contributions of the Türkiye Kamu-Sen confederation. We believe that these experiences will make a significant contribution to the solution of the problems awaiting solution."
Minister Işıkhan was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security Faruk Özçelik, General Director of Labour Mehmet Baş and Ministry Bureaucrats.
