Minister Işıkhan visited Zonguldak within the scope of "City Meetings"

Minister Işıkhan first visited the Governor of Zonguldak Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu. After signing the memorial book of the governorship, Işıkhan received information from Hacıbektaşoğlu about the works and projects in the city.

Minister Işıkhan then visited Cyprus Veteran Satılmış Dönmez and his family.

Minister Işıkhan then visited Zonguldak İŞKUR Provincial Directorate and received information from Zonguldak İŞKUR Provincial Director Okan Şentürk and Zonguldak SGK Provincial Director Erkin Avcı regarding employment programmes, employer supports and the Ministry's activities in the city.

Within the scope of his programmes, Minister Işıkhan visited tradesmen on Şemsi Denizer Street, had a conversation with citizens, listened to their demands and celebrated the 18-24 September Ahilik Week.

Minister Işıkhan also visited the General Mine Workers' Union and received information about the activities of the union from President Hakan Yeşil. Afterwards, Minister Işıkhan attended the programme organised at the Zonguldak Police House for the 19 September Veterans' Day, where he had a conversation with the veterans.

In his speech here, Minister Işıkhan commemorated the martyrs and veterans who passed away with mercy and gratitude.

Minister Işıkhan stated that martyrs and veterans are common values, love for the homeland, and common points that eliminate all differences, and said, "With this awareness, we will continue to stand by our martyrs' relatives and veterans with all institutions and organisations of our country, especially our Ministry, with a sense of gratitude at all times, not just one day."

Minister Işıkhan then went to the Ereğli Coal Basin Amelebirliği Savings and Assistance Fund and received information about the activities of the fund from the Chairman of the Fund, Şenol Yücel.

Minister Işıkhan visited the Turkish Hard Coal Authority due to the cave-in that occurred in the underground hard coal quarry of Armutçuk Enterprise last week and conveyed his get well wishes. Mr Işıkhan discussed the needs of the Institution with General Manager Muharrem Kiraz.

Minister Işıkhan shared the information that the applications for the recruitment of 2000 mine workers, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave the good news, will be made between 25-29 September.

Minister Işıkhan also visited Zonguldak Mayor Ömer Selim Alan within the scope of his visits and received information about the projects and works in the city.

Afterwards, Minister Işıkhan met with the staff of ALO 170, the Contact Centre, which has locations in 10 provinces and provides information and solutions about the services provided by the Ministry, SGK and İŞKUR, at the Zonguldak location.

Minister Işıkhan was accompanied by Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, AK Party Zonguldak MPs Muammer Avcı and Ahmet Çolakoğlu, Mayor Ömer Selim Alan, AK Party Provincial Chairman Mustafa Çağlayan and directors of institutions affiliated to the ministry.
