Minister Işıkhan Visited Mardin, His Family Home
Minister of Labour and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan was in Mardin to pay a series of visits and attend programs.
Having firstly visited Mazıdağı, Derik and Kızıltepe Districts, Minister Işıkhan met with tradesmen and conversed on their requests and problems.
Minister Işıkhan then attended the Opening Ceremony of Artuklu Kasımiye People’s Forest. Addressing a speech here, Minister Işıkhan touched upon the fact that they represented a perception of administration with the consciousness of being a social state and continued as follows: “Our governing tradition which is based upon providing sustenance of the human has reached today with its thousand years of experience at the least. Our Distinguished President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan always stood with our people throughout his political life, which exceeds quarter-century. He expressed the likelihood of a just world while voicing justice to the whole world at the General Assembly of United Nations yesterday.”
“All Our Cities Are Now the Centre of Investment, Production and Employment”
Conveying that the days when Eastern provinces were destitute of opportunities of all kinds, deprived of service and resigned to terrorism were now a thing of the past, Minister Işıkhan stated, “All our cities, first and foremost Mardin, are unique with their own characteristics and are now the centre of investment, production and employment. We have made structural, health, social and financial reforms in Mardin, as well as all our provinces. Unlike the past when clashes and terrorism prevailed, news of oil explorations and investment is now the case for the mountains of our Eastern and South-eastern provinces.”
“Our Objectives Are To Make Türkiye “Country of the Century”
Underlining that they embraced the blessed cause of Diyarbakır mothers till the bitter end, Minister Işıkhan continued as follows: “We can neither bear nor have time for giving up any of our children. We are targeting to make Türkiye country of the century under the leadership of our President. I hope that we will fulfil this objective with you, our distinguished citizens. I extend our fellow countrymen my best wishes on People’s Forest.”
Afterwards, Minister Işıkhan paid a visit to Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özyaşar, who was re-appointed as rector of Mardin Artuklu University, and extended his best wishes.
Having also visited Office of the Governor of Mardin, Minister Işıkhan signed the Book of Honour of the Governor’s Office. Işıkhan was informed by Governor Tuncay Akkoyun on the needs of the province and activities conducted. Subsequently, Minister Işıkhan visited Mayor of Artuklu Mehmet Tatlıdede in his office and was informed on the endeavours and projects implemented in the district.
