Metehan KARATAŞ was born in 1993 in Malatya. He started his undergraduate studies in Social Work at Hacettepe University in 2013 and graduated in 2017. He also holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Selçuk University.

During his undergraduate studies, he qualified through the KPSS exam and was appointed as a civil servant at the Ministry of National Defense in 2015. Subsequently, he served as a Parliamentary Advisor at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye from 2018 to 2023.

Since joining the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, KARATAŞ has held the positions of Ministerial Advisor and Head of Department. As of 2024, he continues his work as Deputy Director General.

Throughout his academic and professional career, KARATAŞ has been actively involved in civil society initiatives and is proficient in English.
