Türkiye’s Report Reviewed at the Committee Meeting on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families
During the 38th session of the "Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families," which is the supervisory body of the "International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.", Türkiye's second periodic country report was reviewed in two sessions held on June 3-4, 2024.
In the sessions of the Committee, composed of independent experts, our country was represented by a delegation led by our Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva. The delegation included our Director General, Ali Aybey, Harun Aydoğmuş, Head of the Legislation and International Agreements Department, and Numan Kodal, Labor Expert at the Directorate General of Foreign Relations and European Union.
During the sessions, the second report—submitted after the initial country report in 2016—was reviewed, with committee members evaluating the report's topics and posing questions about Türkiye's practices, which were thoroughly addressed by our delegation.
